Today’s run – 3.0 km/15 min

Mood: Very happy! I literally willed myself thru this. I really felt like taking the day off, you know – make it up later on, but I came thru for me and did it. This run would have been good for an 11 on the run, but I am looking for very low 10′s or ever high 9′s.

Today’s run – 7.2 km/35 min

Mood: Pretty aweson run today as well. Feel real good about my accomplishment over the last couple days. I was able to stay on point for the most part after missing a few day earlier in the week as I made the transition. Looking forward to a blockbust week coming up.

Author: Bob Woodward
Date: 17-Apr-04

With his unmatched investigative skill, Bob Woodward tells the behind-the-scenes story of how President George W. Bush and his top national security advisers, after the initial shock of the September 11 attacks, led the nation to war.
Extensive quotations from the secret deliberations of the National Security Council – and firsthand revelations of the private thoughts, concerns, and fears of the president and his war cabinet – make Bush at War an unprecedented chronicle of a modern presidency in a time of grave crisis.

Based on interviews with more than a hundred sources and four hours of exclusive interviews with the president, Bush at War reveals Bush’s sweeping, almost grandiose, vision for remaking the world. “I’m not a textbook player, I’m a gut player,” the president said.

Woodward’s virtual wiretap into the White House Situation Room reveals a stunning group portrait of an untested president and his advisers, three of whom might themselves have made it to the presidency. In Bush at War, Bob Woodward once again delivers a reporting tour de force.

Well I have been out of purgatory for a few days now. Does feel really wierd…I guess some may think that I feel bad about it, but if they only know how glad I am that that crazy a** crap is over… at least for now. They will all be so shocked when I pull the friggin’ rabbit out of the bag.

Today’s run – 6.0 km/30 min

Mood: Pretty tired but had to get the run in. Had a big greasy double bacon and cheeze for lunch, plus had an omlete for breakfast. Won’t be having any days off, so I will have to just pick my long run days and have at it.

Today was my first day outside fo purgatory. How liberating….lots of folks seemed understanding of the circumstances, but no one really understands how relieved I am – literally. Now I get a chance to dig in and show some good stuff. Now stand back and watch the artist at work.

Just a simply guy who sees goodness in most and constantly in search of all that is beautiful, good, and true. I have very few hangups, save the fact that I am fiercely intolerant of BS and people who deal in delusions. I consider myself unselfish, always ready to give a hand when I see the need. I am also equally unforgiving of those who take advantage of the goodness of others. Learning is a passion of mine. My primary field is Mathematics, but my passion goes well beyond that. I read a great deal, I also enjoy Philosophy, History, Computing/Technology and Contemporary World Affairs (mainly Politico-Military).
