Okay, so I have to rewrite this freaking post to my blog just because this piece of remote posting software that I installed decided to dump my earlier post.  That really chaps my hide.
too bad tho, I should have saved it.  Anyways here we go:

First post for the new year!

So I took the family up to Jacksonville to ring in the new years.  Pretty good fireworks show as usually on the Landing.  The kids were all over the place – actually Cheyenne was all over
the place, Marcus was pretty subdued. 

We stayed at NAS Jax and had one of the most miserable stays ever.  We all pretty much got sick on the first night – dry scratchy throat.  The carpet in the room was so filthy, the bottom of our feet got black from walking on it.  We asked to move to another room.  Got to the other room.  The carpet was slightly better, but the condition was worst.  We had roaches galore.  We found blood splash on one of the walls.  Behind one of the couch we found what appears to be an empty McDonald’s bag next to a bunch of roaches feeding on a piece of what appers to be a Dorito chip. 

We ended up leaving at around 19:30 New Year’s day back for Ocala.  Felt really bad about the whole trip.  Will make it up to the family.
